The Falconer Public Library has been offering some fun holiday activities. Thanks to generous funding from a grant from the Falconer Region Community Fund & Donald R. Swanson Memorial Fund, made available through the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation, the library has a Storywalk® set up in front of the library. The Storywalk® allows readers to enjoy a story while walking from page to page outside. This month Library Clerk Sandy Thies donated a cute story for our walk called A Coronavirus Christmasby Shannon Jett. It reminds us that even though the holidays are far different this year, we can still think about and remember those we love. Readers get a package of hot chocolate and have an opportunity to write who they are thinking of on a paper ornament to add to our tree. We have a holiday book sale that offers Christmas books as well as new and gently used fiction and non-fiction books, children's books, a great selection of cookbooks puzzles and DVD's. Stop by and see the amazing paper cutting display by Rhonda Hedlund. Come in and take a guess on how many ornaments are in our guessing jar for a chance to win a gift card! We are also working hard on a December book paper chain. After you read a book, record the title on one of the links and add it to our chain! The Falconer Public Library Board and Staff would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a safe and healthy New Year! Thank you for your continued support.
